I don't listen to them, but SMAP is a band. You know, "KAT-TUN" like, imo, then again, both were formed, iirc, by the same company. That Johnny's guy or whatever, that seem to promote "male idol groups". SMAP has been around since the early 90s and still around to this day. They even have a show called SMAP X SMAP. I'm kind of surprised that you'd never heard of the group.

Yeah, that's it! I knew it was Johnny's something. KinKi Kids is a product by them too. I've only heard one song by them, though. I've never come across anything else. The song is Boku no senaka ni wa hane ga aru. I really like that song a lot. I keep saying I'm going to look more into them, but never get around to doing so. lol

Aww, poor them. I always feel sorry for groups and artists whose popularity goes down, even if I'm not a fan or interested in them.

They took away my 'Jrock virginity' when a friend let my listen to Wagamama Koushinkyoukou, but it was only later when I watched the video but I liked their style right away... they're so cute

And I actually started listening to The GazettE, Miyavi, Abingdon Boys School, Gackt, Alice Nine, Nightmare and a few others by coincidence
Actually that was all thanks to YouTube, since that is the only way I can listen to Jrock

For Japanese bands... I like Budo Grape and Bouno! becuase they're so cute ~ !

For non-Japanese bands, I like Red Hot Chili Peppers because Flea is a great bassist and I like Phish because of their creative lyrics and long, fantastic soloing ~ !
