Yui...?
Well ive been listening to jrock for well over a year but i havent really "discovered" any jpop i like...until i heard the bleach opening rolling star by yui. Are there any other artists like her? or other artists that have the same sort of sound? i mean i know uverworld and stuff, and they are great but i need some more jpop XD if anyone could help it would be awesome :)

Im halfway down the list and there seems to be a theme going on...at least on the videos on youtube, theres loads of balads and love songs and such but not enough upbeat jumpy upy songs (altho i do like DBSK and Aya matsuura so far :D)

Ikimonogakari is my favorite similar-to-Yui artist. They're just released their 2nd album and are pretty big. :marusmile:

Yes, they had some songs that ended up on the Inuyasha soundtrack. There's two songs I can think up from the top of my head fukai mori = deep forest, and I think Shinjutsu no Uta = Song of truth or something like that. Sadly, I heard that the band broke up.

By far my favurite Acustic Rock singer. she even inspired me to learn how to play guitar. she is also a great actress, her movie is the only one that has made me cry like a little baby infront of a whole crowd! her music is just as great, Good bye days, Cherry, Marry go Round, and JAM are just perfect!
