Japanese feminist music - 05-12-2008, 12:36 PM

I'm not talking all female bands. All female does not make something riot grrl.
I'm interested in feminist themes in Japanese music.

Q: Who cares what other people think?!?!
A: Japanese people do.

Since u like J rOck as i do...then will you tell me some jroCk bands plz! ...and ill tell you mine!

your post about feminist themes. It didn't seem to fit the category?

Huh? I still don't know exactly what you're talking about.
Category?

There is plenty of music with feminist themes outside of Japan, so surely there is some in Japan.

Then I suppose my only choice is to interpret your words to the best of my ability.

Riot Grrrl is a genre that is centered around feminist themes. So anything from this "category" or genre from Japan would be fine.

But on the other hand, I'm more interested in themes than a "category" or genre itself. Riot Grrrl is not the only genre of music with feminism. It could be grindcore, emocore, death metal, visual kei, poprock, darkwave, anything, any "category". Any genre is fine, I'm just looking for feminist themes.

I hope that cleared up some stuff about categories.
