If I have to choose, then it will always be Japanese Rock for me. I guess I like Western Rock also, but I almost never listen to it.

This place is just as fair as a Western forum. If you ask this same question on a Western forum, then where do you think most votes go?

I can't say because Bon Jovi is western rock. I don't really like races or genders being pitted against each other.

Various western bands influenced members of J-rock bands so I can't say JRock is better than western.I can't disregard rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Van Halen, AC/DC and other influent bands. We can't compare Jrock and the western rock but we know western is the major influence talking about rock, mainly talking about guitar.
You can notice the influences of Yngwie Malmsteen and Paul Gilbert in Versailles guitar solos, same of how Jimmy Page influenced Pata(X Japan) style of play guitar.

Even though I still dont understand much Japanese, I still love J-Rock. It's just different, and fun, and funky. LOL!

I prefer J-Rock. Nearly everyband I like in J-Rock. Western Rock is also nice, but there are many bands, I don`t really like.
But really, I like both, Western and Asian Rockbands.
