Green Day revived interest in punk rock during 1994. Most 'punk' bands you see today are all influenced by them. They are actually something.

They are something in between punk rock and pop punk... lolz though at early albums they were definitely punkrock.

That's all well and good, but they weren't the amazing band with the awesome solos or whatever...

I mean, Pixies were extremely influential as well, but I wouldn't give them undue fanfare...

Describing them as they actually are without unnecessary glitter should suffice for a band with a legacy, don't you think? :3

The new 2 singles aren't something I would call as amazing but they are decent. hope I can really see something amazing in the new album.

Their songs "Jesus of Suburbia", and "Homecoming" saved me from suicide. With Divine Intervention, of course...XD I have a lot of respect for that band; their music is great. Daring, and their riffs and beats are killer. I'm glad to know there's someone who respects them as much as I do.

Billie and I actually share a very similar background, and with that, I feel like I can relate to a lot of their songs, which makes the music that much more enjoyable. XD

I actually liked their songs after Tre joined; I felt the beat was a lot better, and just in general a lot better. ^_^ I also liked 21st Century a lot better than all the rest of the albums because of the fact Billie actually learned how to sing. Lol. Not that his singing was bad before, it's just...he wasn't singing right, and as a vocalist myself, it was a little hard to listen to at times hahaha.

But yeah...I really love Green Day, their music means a lot to me...
