Tsuyoshi, Masahiro, Shingo, Takuya, Goro
(correct me if that's incorrect)

And I'm claiming Shingo. anyone touches him, there will be trouble.

this is why I'm claiming him.... (that smile)

and this doesn't hurt:

(I first found out about him through Sukiyaki Western Django)

The guy you have called Mashiro is actually Masahiro, but in Japan people usually call him Nakai-kun.

Takuya is always called Kimu-taku (from Kimura Takuya).

Goro and Shingo are usually kown by their first names, Tsuyoshi is either Tsuyoshi or Kusanagi-kun. Did you hear that Tsuyoshi was arrested for taking all his clothes off in a Tokyo park in April when he was drunk? That shocked the nation, but people sympathised with him because he was treated badly by the police. He's back on TV now after a month off- he's my favourite Smap member.

Miyavifan 07-26-2009 05:18 PM

thank you for letting me know. I was kind of in a hurry, as the library was closing soon.

Thank you for the other info.

Yeah, I did hear about that.

I read the thread here about it. I meant to link to it, but forgot to.

oh I love that song. ^_^
SMAP is amazing!!!

Miyavifan 07-29-2009 08:07 PM

I think I figured it out. but to be sure, I'm going to do some photobucket searching.

huh, I didn't know that, about doing the voicing for that.

I had heard about him being married, but not about the kids.

I don't think I had posted this yet.
YouTube - SMAP MONOMANE

This is making me like Shingo even more.

and also this:
YouTube - kimura_judgement_part1

and then there are tons of great pics of him, I've been finding.

{edited}

ok, ore, I figured it out. :D

my other guy I'm liking is Masahiro. :) and I did some other searching, and found out he's only about a month younger than I am. Takuya was also born the same year as me.
And Goro was born about a year and a half after me, and Tsuyoshi almost 2 years after me.

and Shingo about 4 and a half years after me.

I'm loving how they're either my age, or pretty close it. and it turns out I like the youngest and oldest, huh?

also, I had gotten the impression that Takuya was the leader, but not so. It's actually Masahiro, according to this site:
The Grand Line - The Wonder of SMAP

pics of Masa

and please tell me he doesn't smoke.

(I didn't expect this to be so long)

sarasi 07-29-2009 11:33 PM

Nakai-kun/ Masahiro has always been the leader- I think because he might be the oldest but would have to check on that. Probably he does smoke, more than 50% of Japanese men do. If you talk about "Takuya" in Japan no-one will know who you are talking about. Here he is always, always called Kimutaku.

Miyavifan 07-29-2009 11:48 PM

Yeah, I read it's cause he's the oldest.
I'm sure it's much higher than 50%.

huh. I don't remember what site now, but one I visited said not to call him that.

orewasenshi 07-30-2009 12:33 AM

Lol Takuya could be my dad xD

Miyavifan 07-30-2009 01:29 AM

seriously?

I think it is actually around 50% these days, and slowly dropping. That goes with my experience of 11 years in Japan anyway.

That one site may have said not to call him Kimutaku, but 120 million Japanese people still do ;) Why, out of interest?

really?

Even with all the jrockers who smoke?

Huh.
Why, what?

sarasi 07-31-2009 08:12 AM

The "jrockers" aren't that high a percentage of the population that they would make a big difference to the statistics. Most of the smokers would be ordinary salarymen, manual labourers and university students. I know the stats because I've seen them in newspaper articles here, and I believe them to be true. About half the men in my office when I worked in a large company smoked, but my fiance doesn't, and neither do a lot of our guy friends.

"Why?" meant why does that site say not to call him Kimutaku? Does he not like it?

Anyway, probably moving away from your topic here, and it's your thread, so never mind.

Miyavifan 07-31-2009 03:41 PM

we can take the OT parts to PM's, I guess.

anyway. The site didn't say why not to call him that. I'll try to find that site again.
