Utada Hikaru! She's great. She has a really soulful voice in my opinion. I really love her song 'Colors' that's my favorite. I also like Namie Amuro.

For J-Pop my favortie is Ayumi Hamasaki. I also like Utada Hikaru but for some reason I think her english voice is better than her Japanese. Some of her songs in Japanese are good but I prefer her singing in english.

Namie Amuro, Kotani Kinya, BoA (even though she's Korean, I've only really ever heard her Japanese and English songs), and Yui Horie.
My favorite songs by each of them, respectively, are "Want Me Want Me", "Anti Nostalgic", "Double", and... well, I can't pick a favorite Yui Horie song :P  OFFICIAL OWNER OF HIZAKI AND JASMINE YOU
