Let's see, I recommend..

+ Rip Slyme (Nettaiya, Speed King, Blue Bebop, Funkastic, Against)
+ Garnet Crow (Mysterious Eyes, Yume mita atode)
+ Kick The Can Crew (Utopia, Nounai Vacation, One Way)
+ Remioromen (Konayuki, Akanezora)
+ Ellegarden (Kaze no Hi, A Thousand Smiles)
+ Uverworld (I don't really have a fav for this one...)
+ Radwimps (they remind me of Ellegarden)

And currently, I'm into スピッツ/Spitz..

Recommendations for easy listening female vocals - 06-21-2008, 10:18 AM

Hi there,

New member here. Being a car fanatic, I tend to frequent Japanese bookstores for the latest automotive mags and news. Almost always, the background music they play in these stores are easy listening (love songs?) and are of more female artists.

Never have the courage to ask what music they are playing (as i believe most males shouldn't be keen to such types of music), but secretly, I am addicted to these easy listening, soft-rock, genre stuff

So here I am, reaching out to the mighty anonymous Internet for your recommendation on what artists I should look into.

I don't see what's the problem with listening to Soft Music, there are guys that use Pink shirts and they are called manly. As for the recommendations, sorry I don't usually listen to that type of music.

Why do you live alone
If you are sad
I'll make you leave this life

All I can see is drowning in cold grey sand

good bands - 06-23-2008, 08:06 PM

How about Girugamesh, Miyavi, Dir en Grey, X Japan, Mucc, 12012, Sadie, Bang Doll, T.M.Revolution(Takanori makes Revolution), Gackt, L'arc en ciel, Orange Range, Screw, Blood, Antic Cafe, Kurt, Juka, -auncia-, Dollis Mary, Mana, Dolly, Cellt, Pashya, Bergerac, juliadoll, Celia xeno, Unsraw, Shonen Knife(a group of girls it's an old band. Banana Fish is a good song, you can get them on itunes U.S I don't know if itunes other than Japan's itunes will carry them.) I Have a Cure Mag of a couple of years ago, It has a whole list of Visual bands and I can give you more, some of them I never heard of at all but would like to check them out. (I can't read Japanese but would like to learn it.) I can give you some western bands you can listen too only if you want me to tell you. You just have to try all of the bands out before you know what you like and don't like, Go on Youtube and type in the names or go on line, or myspace They might have samples for you to listen too. I have some more J-bands on my itunes, but I'm going to butcher up their names, So I can give it to when I come home from work tonight. I'll just post it on this thread.
