Makoto Shimizu (born in 1977 in Tokyo, Japan), professionally known as Makoto, is a Japanese drum and bass musician, DJ and actor. Among other distinctives of Makoto's musical style, a heavy influence of 1970s-era soul, funk and jazz fusion can be heard throughout the vast majority of his repertoire.

Inspired by LTJ Bukem's Logical Progression album and Goldie's Timeless, he began to experiment with his own drum and bass music compositions. His unique style received the attention of LTJ Bukem and his Good Looking Records label, and Makoto was later featured on several of LTJ Bukem's mix CDs.

Makoto's first studio album Human Elements was released on Good Looking in 2003. His second studio album, Believe In My Soul, will be released on the same label in 2007. He has also recorded a live album with frequent touring partner MC Deeizm for the label's Progression Sessions series of live mixes.

Makoto continues to act and to tour in support of his music, mostly in Thailand and Japan.

Who would you pick, if you were to make your own jrock-band? You can pick among ALL jrockers ofcourse. ^^''

And you cannot add yourself into the band. >_>
Anyway. U need the positions:

Bass
Guitar
Vocal
Drums

Ofcourse you can have like.. two guitar-players or two vocalists. But still. ^^ Keep it realistic - meaning that u don't need to exaggerate and you cannot make ex. Aoi play the drums since he's a guitarist? Okies? XD *dances* Now go!

I think mine was pretty predictable.

I had serious problems picking a vocalist though. They're all so amazing. Should it be Shou? Keiyuu? Mao? In the end I picked Isshi, because I like his range the most and he really doesn't get enough of love.

Guitarist were easy. Two of the best out there. I almost picked MYV, but MYV is a solo artist really, and I can barely see him meshing well with SKIN let alone something of my own design.

Bassist was a choice between Aki, and Reita. Sorry, to Reita, but I think Aki is cuter. Thus my decision rendered.

Drummer... heehee. Duh. What type of band would it be without the legendary, magnificent Yoshiki? (And what type of wife would I be if I didn't support?)
