A little deeper -
10-13-2006, 02:19 AM
I just figure i might help you guys go a little bit deeper than your typical anime themes and super mainstream J-music (gackt anyone -_-) although gackt is great, I'm here to input some variety
Somebody earlier mentioned Sambomaster, amazing band Seishun kyousokou was featured as i believe the 6th naruto opening, it was one of them, the exact numberi cant say. A band to seriously look into is Suneohair, theyre pretty much along the lines of a half and half J-band, songs to check out are Waltz (this is a must) and Split. very good. Akino Arai, a Japanese singer/songwriter who has done soem themes for Noir and I believe Outlaw Star, is great for those of you who are lookign for some relaxing/catchy tunes for winter time. better songs are Kirei na kanojou, and Reve HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, I'm positive alot of you have heard of these guys. They did the 3rd or fourth opening for Bleach ( which was a very bad song "ichirin no hana") but mostly what turned me onto them was their dual female and male vocals. A very unique band. Reccomended songs are Pride, and hoshizora no furu yuki Polysics, those of you that are into just whacked out music but fun at the same time, look these guys up. Songs : Kaja Kaja Goo Charcoal Filter, a fast paced but at the same time light rock band that has the same entertainment quality as Asian kungfu generation and Organe range, yet still flaunts INCREDIBLY catchy tunes, reccomended songs : Kokoro no kita michi, Music Monster, and Sekai no hate Aqua Timez, of all the band I've listed this is by far my favorite. Their music sports a full orchestra of violins, an amazing piano player, and a highly skilled accoustic guitarist, if youve been looking for a new favorite song, i highly suggest you check out Ketsui no Asa Ni. Last but not least, Akeboshi, you may remember him from the second ending of Naruto. His groundbreaking song Wind will stay with you awhile, i first discovered it maybe 2-3 years back and it is still one of my all time favorite songs. After digging deeper into his musical genius I came to love all of his music, other definite must listens include Akikaze Uta, and Haikyo no Sofa. i dont really feel liek describing them just now, but heres a list of other j bands in into ( alot of which youve probably heard of, but here they are) X-Japan, Hide, Gazette, Dir En Grey, Alice Nine, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Luna Sea, Psycho Le Cemu, Pierrot, Baroque, Miyavi, Kagerou,Plastic Tree, Gackt, Hyde, An Cafe, Guitar Wolf, Metronome, the Brilliant Green, G-Gorilla (korean very hard to find), Kaoru Amane, Glay, B'z, Janne da Arc ( worth checking out) |
