Figure skating. - 08-10-2007, 09:52 AM

I am a huge figure skating fan, and a skater myself.

The Japanese are probably the best skaters. Mao Asada is amazing.

Evgeny Plushkenko is such a weirdo. >> lol.

Do you watch any Japanese skaters?

It was awesome to see Shizuka Arakawa take home the gold for Japan at the '06 Olympics! Although I was rooting for my favorite skater, Sasha Cohen. ^^

Yeah that kind of stuff really sucks. I'm glad I didn't start skating before puberty.

There are some good ones in the USA, though

I have figure skated for about ten years now but recently gave up my competitive dreams due to lack of money and to make tennis my number one priority. I miss it terribly but can't stand going to practice "just for fun". I mean, i don't want to waste all that I've worked for, but if I can't compete I don't want to skate at all..

skating - 10-09-2008, 06:09 PM

i took lessons for 2 years, and i still fall on my butt when I step onto the ice, but my friend is the same age as me, 13, and she is absolutely amazing! She always does well in her competition, and has only slipped twice. i am so jealous of her....although she has been skating alot longer than me......

eww! I hate porno bots.

@mangafreak-Your friend seems pretty good. Only slipped twice? My friend has slipped more than four times.

Mao-san is really good. And Japan has many fine skaters !! They all however should thank a little lady from Nagoya-one of Japans finest athletes EVER, and only true living legend - Miss Ito Midori.
