Fandom more interesting than the actual product??

Just something that I've been thinking about recently. I've found I enjoy TALKING about my favorite shows and video games, more than actually watching or playing them. Specifically Kingdom Hearts.

It's like...I get more entertainment looking at art and reading fanfiction than from the thing itself.

Anyone else, or is it just me?

hmmmm....i would have to say with certain things, mostly anime for me, I would have to admit I enjoy almost everything more than watching the actual show, but manga I could read for hours and for some reason get annoyed by fan fics and stuff like that...strange
