We dont have PS3's in the uk yet but I bought a Wii last friday when it came out and Im slightly underwhelmed. Its great fun, dont get me wrong. But the launch games (apart from Zelda, which is nice) are a bit crap and ive had a cupla probs with my wiimotes. Im not a big playstation fan but ill inevitably end up getting one purely for the sake of certain games (FFXIII, Devil May Cry 4...)

I've had minimal contact with the wii but as far as the PS3 goes it's just too little bang for the buck. I mean, it just doesn't pay to get one right now. The game selection is so so, and blue ray means crap right now. It's just like buying a DVD player in the early 90's, you only bought it to be "cutting edge", but in the end the selection was limited and you wound up paying 300 dollars for a machine that costs 30 dollars today. Cost aside, the PS3 has little to offer for exclusive content right now, of course when a Final Fantasy hits the market even i may have to get a job and buy one.
