Square has only said it's a possibility as well has hinted at it. However there's no confirmation that it's actually happening.

Anything that suggests otherwise is just extreme fanboy speculation.

*sigh* I don't know where you heard that but in a recent interview I read the magazine was questioning one of the creators of Crisis Core, and they asked him about the remake of VII and he said it won't happen unless the orignal creators of VII scheduals clear up, which most likely won't happen soon. That is the only thing released by Enix about the remake that's recent. If you want true, hardcore facts go the the Enix site and join Square Enix Members.

I think the trailer for FF7 for ps3 was actually the ending for Crisis Core that came out after the credits. I could be wrong.

That wasn't a trailer, and it wasn't a closing scene for Crisis Core. It was a technical demo to show what a possible remake would/could look like.
