Im off to Japan in a couple of days. Im planing to buy a PS3 or two in Japan and was just wondering if anyone knows how much a PS3 would cost? And if its secure to buy one, see I live in "the great country" Sweden and not sure if it works here? Or the PS3-games you buy in Sweden? And my last question is if they come with Englishs menu?

2) You might need a converter
3) PS3-games in Sweden do work on the Japanese system but no Blu-ray movie discs.
4) I think you can change the language to English

I'm picking up either Siren: New Translation from the post office today or tomorrow. Silly guy from Hong Kong registered the package so it couldn't be left at my mailbox without signing.

For those who don't know it's the PSN game that was released in 4 parts (3 chapters each, 12 chapters total) or one buy of $39.99. However the game was released in Japan and Hong Kong on disc as well as digital. As well the games aren't unique to region. The Japanese version has english voice and subtitle options on it. I wanted the disc so grabbed it off ebay for like $10 more than the download.

I've also pre-ordered Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice, which is due to release on the 18th I believe, off of Amazon.ca. They had it at $15 less than retail

Oh yea.

For anyone who cares Home will be region locked according to your PS3's MAC Address. This means if you imported a PS3 from a region other than your own when home releases you will be interacting with palyers of that region.

So if you imported a Japanese PS3, you're going to be spending time with Japanese gamers in home's public spaces. Of course though you can invite players from other regions off of your friends list into your private space.
