Favourite Boss Themes
 

We know that the coolest themes in games tend to play during boss fights. What are some of your favourite boss themes?

Here are some of mine:

Gilgamesh fight: Battle on the Big Bridge (FF5; didn't like the FF12 version much)


Seymour Omni fight (FF10; I can't believe this theme wasn't in the Sphere library)


Gospel fight (Megaman Battle Network 2)


Julius Belmont fight: Heart of Fire (Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow)


Champion fight (Pokemon R/B/G/Y)


Freiza fright (DBZ Gekitouden - I love this game!)

Vergil fight (Devil May Cry 3)

Got to say, one of the most memorable moments in any game I ever played was The Boss Fight in Metal Gear Soild 3: Snake Eater. This song plays about half way through the fight.


Snake vs Liquid fight at the end of Metal Gear Soild.


Final Fight in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, plays right before the end of the fight.

Dun, dun, dun Sephiroth! One Winged Angel definitly. I also like most of the DMC battle songs.

Can't remember the name of the game, but it featured Gackt as the voice for the main character. Also you could play as him after you beat the game. Game sucked, but final boss battle had an awesome look to it, and the music only helped things.

Fortune from metal gear had that sax thing, pretty cool.

Kuja's from ff9 was kinda cool too, back then.

For some reason, I have a soft place in my heart for the boss music from Treasure Hunter G. It`s one of those few themes I REALLY remember (as above the "Hey, I vaguely remember that! It was played in such-and-such game" if I hear it somewhere. Those are countless.)

I could play the thing on loop forever. :D

* completely agree with Snake Eater, such a great song, also the song from GotP... awesome.

when i think Boss Themes, the first thing I think of is "Those who Fight Further"- FFVII it's the ultimate song!!!!

YOu're talking about BUJINGAI, yea, it sucked...lol

Mines gotta be "vs final boss" from sonic 3 + knuckles (both parts)


Vs Final Bison/Vega from Street Fighter Alpha 3


Vs Elite 4 Champion Gary from Pokemon Red - This gives me the shivers still.
