I've never played it on PS. I do know there are different versions other than the GBA kind, so it's possible the one you played was different.

I'm playing Final Fantasy III DS right now. Alot of my friends don't like it, but I think it's really great. How about you guys?

FFX is my favorite... I'm currently replaying it for the fourth time with a few friends. :)
