Are there 2 worlds like Symphonia or is there one world? Why could summons and summoners be out of place??
Each enemy boss character (as far as I know) has their own set of Mystic Artes. The playable characters have different Mystic Artes. You can use them more than once, and they can use them more than once... Which can be very annoying at times.

There is only one world, but there's a little twist which is a spoiler ^_^.

In Abyss, the sources of magic are these particles called Fonons, a material energy found in all living things. The planet is composed entirely of Fonons. Originally, there were only six types of fonons. But in the story a seventh fonon was discovered, which led to all kinds of disorder. Those who can use the seventh fonon are called Seventh Fonists, and they are the most rare and special (Luke, the main character, and Tear, the female protagonist, are both Seventh Fonishts). A key thing about this seventh fonon is that, by using it, you can tell the future. Which is how the game's entire setting is established.

As you can see, the "magic" in the Abyss world is a lot more scientific (sort of) than in Symphonia, and thus having Summon Spirits and Summoners would be a little out of place; Symphonia's magic was a result of mana, which was comprised of multiple elements (Earth, Wind, Fire, etc). Abyss' magic is a result of fonons, particles that (supposedly) are non-sentient. It would be difficult to have spirits representing each type of fonon like there are spirits representing each type of element in Symphonia.

What's more, the emphasis in Abyss is the whole concept of your future already being determined. The game's focus is the shaping of your own destiny. Symphonia's theme was different, which is why I can see them taking the Summon Spirits out.

Oh Okay, that is a very cool concept. I am liking that idea very much. And the more you tell me about this Tales game the more I want to play it!!

I don't know what to ask now or bring up, but I don't want to stop talking with you, we both give each other very interesting information. Can you think of anything else for us to talk about? (game related of course.) ^___^

I know, I feel the same. Let's see... Oh, how about the game that you disliked the most? Is there a game that you recommend avoiding? If so, why?

Hmmmm. I can't think of any off of the top of my head. Give me awhile and I think I can make a list of game titles and a reason not to play them.......

Crimson, I can't think of any game to stay away from. I'm sorry...lol The only game I can say that is no good, is Xenosaga. I don't like it at all. It is mostly cut scenes and when you do play it is crappy.

Can you think of any games not to pay? I don't really have any crappy games to name because I never run into a crappy game. Oh yeah, Resident Evil outbreak is BAD! You can't do anything and the enemies come back every time you enter an area. I can't think of any more.

The only one that comes immediately to mind is Orphen: Scion of Sorcery (PS2). It's not a horrible game, but it's not great. Basically, it's a game that takes place either in or after the first series of Orphen, the anime. The main character, whose name is Orphen, is a prodigy sorcerer who has adventures with Cleo, an annoying spoiled brat and Magik, his so-called apprentice. The in-game graphics aren't spectacular; Orphen's magic tends to look rather cheesy, and the monsters he fights are poorly animated (in my opinion). I never played it long enough to see any FMVs - I don't even know if there were any. Quite frankly, I got bored with it ^_^ It didn't enthrall me in the slightest, despite the fact that I liked both Orphen anime series.

Since I own it, I may play it eventually and give it a second chance, but it didn't make a lasting impression, so I wouldn't recommend buying it.

Never got into FF X. My brother got it and won it in like, 2 weeks. He does that with every game he gets. I got FF X-2 and I know most people don't like it. Be It was fun for a change to play as a girl for a main character, since I am a girl. Rikku is slightly annoying, but cute. Please, does anyone play Fire Emblem?! I love the game and have only met one person who has played it. Castlevaina rocks, and so does SSBM. Favorite character is Roy(Duh).

Systems: Ds, gameboy sp, gamecube, Wii, PS2, PC.
Had a vVrtual boy but it broke. Same with the Sega Genesis...

The tales games are awesome. Guranteed to like. Except for Legendia. I hated that one.

Legendia wasn't that bad of a game. But it was totally predictable and very, very repetitive.

It was extremely annoying how the entire game was to find Shirley. I started to like it towards the end. Then when you beat it, the second, part the character quest is available. And I found that very fun. During the character quest I learned to like characters that I hated. example--> Norma.
