Is the 'Sony family' doing better than the "Nintendo family" (Gamecube, Wii and DS combined)? Of course not. I mean if sales go up by 178% and they're still not winning the console war that says an awful lot about earlier sales.

I bought the DS mainly because of Zelda, and if they release some killer titles for the PSP I would consider getting one, though nothing really grabs me at the moment.

Ummmm, on the side, if you click the PlayStation 2 tab.... you'll see that the PS2 is still outselling the Wii, pretty bad when a last gen system is killing a next gen system in sales.... Let's not forget teh release of the Sony PSiiMote is coming up!!!

It's not surprising that the PS2 is selling better than the Wii. The PS2 has a huge range of quality titles available for it and is really cheap (as are the games)

The PS3 isn't doing so well because it's not cheap and it doesn't have the games. But it's also true to say there aren't that many good games available for the Wii yet, which is why PS2 is doing better than both of them.

Both PS3 and Wii don't have games, but people bought the Wii because it's a lot cheaper and it (undoubtfully) makes people curious. Now, I think that the launch of Brawl will improve Wii's sales, but not that much (people who like the Smash Bros brand are Nintendo fanboys, and they probably already bought a Wii). Instead, when the PS3 will have GTA4, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5 *PLUS* a lower price, its sales will do a lot better.
But this generation is just starting, we'll see how things will do in a couple of years.

i can name loads of things that xbox has better than ps3. eg. better online gaming

-its the original, so its controller isnt that dumb to play with
like your left finger is at your forehead, and your right is at your feet, oh and I tried to play with x, and it was oh,man.
-it has slots or I dunno, where you can put you xD memory card and stuffs.
-BD, so I dont have to buy a "ps4" (read:xbox 720) 2 yrs later
-sixaxis, I dont have to buy a wii for my ps if I want to try motion sensing

-and the most important:
My opinion is: Xboxers are just playing with their consoles, (halo and those games...fashion games..you play it over in 3 hrs as michieru did) but PS fans play with their console? (if u just do the storyline of final fantasy, it takes 70hrs, so while they copy 3 games and play it, read 2 books and go on camping, they come back, and they see us still playing with FF) they enjoy it, just look at FF; DMC; GT; Tekken. No need to say more.

- are you saying xbox over heats after 3 hours???? HAHAHAHHA, this is sad bad true, i've played on xbox for 16hours straite once. no over heating. no red lights no nothing... the only times it over heats is if you put the power in a closed area.
- from what i'm understanding,you got hands smaller than a 4 year old. 360 is comfortable, the sticks are in perfect position, the trigger button IS actualy a trigger button. unlike ps3 pad. those LB and RB buttons bug the hell out of me and everyone i know (even sony fans)

whoa, 3 xboxs cant even race with sony (just look at sony records and 20% of the movies, sony brand is always there)

What I meant is: 2 yrs later x fans will run to the shops mummy buy me a new xbox which is cooler than a ps3, becoz it palys Blue Ray too, oh mummy please!!
(We both now that one ps is idk 600$ and xbox is 200-400$ and two years later the BluRayXbox will cost 500$ Count man.)
