Japanese language + culture anyone? - 11-26-2008, 06:50 PM

Hello,

I'm from the Netherlands and I'm intrigued by japanese culture, habits, sayings, teachings etc., not to mention the language itself.

I've tried watching japanese/chinese movies with subtitles, looked at japanese kanji, hiragana, katakana, studied several pages about japanese history and culture.

I'd like to talk and discuss the things mentioned above with someone who has extended knowlegde about them.
It's kinda for a higher cause .

I don't want to get to detailed, 'cause it's kinda classified.
Maybe we can chat via PM or e-mail, to get deeper into the subject.

I don't know if I can give any of my own knowlegde in return, but I think we'll be able to work something out.

In any case, thanks in advance.

Hey Shujiro. The person above me won't be able to help you learn about Japanese culture. I admit I'm a bit busy these days, but there are a couple of helpful people around here - just a friendly warning

I'm living in Japan right now and I think it'd be fun to act as someone's eyes and ears, so to speak, and discuss with them about the stuff.
