Student living in Japan but not going to school - 01-02-2008, 09:08 AM

Hey everyone.
Is there some kind of program where i can stay with a family for a summer?
While the students are on vacation, and so am i?
I know they're break is only about a month.
But is that possible?
Like how in the U.S. we have many foreign exchange programs just for the
summer where we have to work or volunteer or whatever.
Because i cant survive a regular exchange program where
i am enrolled in a normal school that speaks totally in Japanese.
So i'll do with just a few weeks.
Feedback, please!
Thanks.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I've heard of a correspondence program for Japan, but it's at my school.
