Internship Japan - 08-28-2008, 06:08 PM

Hi all

I'm a student @ the police academy. Next year ill be graduate. I really want a internship in japan as a cop. Does anyone know if this is possible and how? if you know, please let me know

I don't know much about this, but, in my opinion, seems you'd need a high level of Japanese proficiency to work in Japan as a cop because you'll have to talk with all different types of people.

May work different in Japan than the UK, but you need to be a citizen to apply for policing in the UK, I imagine it would be a requirement over in Japan also (although in the UK, if your an EU citizen you can apply, no such luck in Japan).

What you mean is that i have to be a citizen to get a internship?? That's weird

In general, any government positions - which includes the police force - require you to be a citizen. I don`t think this is something limited to Japan.


If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

I graduated police academy in 2002 and lived in Japan. It will never happen.
