Remember that it's in Japanese, tho. lolz.

How about getting Gatsby hairwax, music or small things that represent Japan as a country? Like a geisha figure or something.

That's kind of the point, I'm not sure what is availible in Japan but not in the UK, and that I like.

It was to get an idea of some things people might know they want from Japan but can't get their hands on.

I was talking to her on skype when I read out the gatsby idea and she was like "yeah I'll do that, but, I'm poor at hair management" so it's not really something I need. Thanks anyway. :)

There are TONS of weird things you can get from Japan. You can think of the most bizzare items imaginable and they'll most likely have it.

One of the items I like to bring back are Kit Kat chocolate bars. Of course it's made by Nestle which isn't Japanese but they've got tons of flavors unique to not only Japan but to certain cities. Soy sauce, kiwifruit, green tea, etc. flavored Kit Kits are not only unique but they're cheap and lightweight too.
