Satellite TV Installations

Ohayo everyone :)

This is my first post on here - hopefully a simple question to answer....

I am a fully qualified Satellite Installer in the UK and was wondering what Satellite TV is like in Japan and if many people have it. Also, how difficult would it be to find a company in Japan that would be looking for installers.

Many thanks everyone.

I can answer your second question.

I am sure there is a decent need for satellite installers. I am sure there isn't so great a need, however, that going through the government red-tape of hiring a foreigner would be necessary. With strong Japanese language skills and a Japanese wife covering your visa you probably have a decent chance.

Thanks you for your answer :)

I have been learning Japanese in college for around 5 months - I love it.

Just got find a Japanese wife now! :)

SKYPerfecTV is the sole satellite provider in Japan, and posting adverts on hiring installers won't be frequent as you think, and government restrictions on this profession could be at large, even if your existing qualification is for ASTRA
