My dream was to live in Japan

:vsign: Why? It s a verry good question that i should ask to myself
Well because somewhere long long time ago country that i come from use to
have a similar samourai spirits ....
Japan is country where culture never die and at the same time in other ways growing like a child .Sems i was about 9 years old my dream was to go to Japan wear a kimono study to write and become a japanese person .
Reading in a book about japanese thinking i was surprised to discover that
i feel like i belong there .....
Now i keep dreaming that maybe sometimes who knows when i will make my dream come true.....

Thats a good dream to have....my dream is to travel the world, though i know that that is a bit to high for my reach, i don't give it up...i will visit japan, and when I do, if i know who you are, maybe I'll drop you off so you don't have to go alone....*smiles and gives peace sign* Good luck with your dream!

It's a great dream Mara! I have wanted to visit Japan for as long as I can remember. I often wonder if it would be possible to someday live there. It's seems as though my daily responsiblities keeps me from going or making a true commitment to visit.

I work in the IT field so I often hope that someday I will work for a company that does a lot of business in Japan and that I will then have the opportunity to go there.

Good luck with your dream! :)

My dream is to move to Japan.
Im currently preparing to apply for a citizenship, which i'll do after I finish college. Then by the time I finish university I should have it.

=] I am very, very excited.

I may be wrong, but don't you have to live here a minimum of five years before applying for dual citzenship or permanent residency? Nyororin would know best, I really have no clue.

Before you all come to Japan, give some thought to answering that question of why you want to be here. Because when you meet a lot of people for the first time they will ask this question sooner or later. My answer is simple, bigger mountains, better snow and cheap lift tickets.

I've always wanted to go to Japan. I could go on for hours thinking of reasons. Now. I'm hopefully going to be moving to Japan in March for 12 months. Is anyone able to give me some advice? Is it all I've dreamed it to be?

What exactly are you expecting to find and where will you be living?
I really have to suggest coming into any foreign country with an open mind and minimal expectations. This way you won't be disappointed or shocked by a lot of things you weren't expecting or things you find it lacking.

If you are married to a japanese national, you need to live at least 5 years to gain a permanent visa But if you are single and just working here, you need to live at least 10 years before gaining a permanent visa.

I'm expecting honour, pride, cleanliness, and welcoming people. With technology, art and early morning dancing lessons thrown in for the soul.
I want a change... and Japan is always improving.

I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! My target date is March 2007. Will be staying with some relatives in Chiba prefecture. I've been dreaming, longing, wishing, hoping, praying, planning, for this my entire life. It's within my reach after 23 long years. Ginkakuji, Kinkakuji, Tokyo, sakura, Hidetoshi Nakata, Hiro Nakamura [:D ] here I come. :mtongue:

Mara 02-17-2007 10:31 AM

well Illuminatis i wish you good luck too:vsign:
I think you have more chance to go there better than me
I use to visit sites wich offer a job in Japan so most of that is looking for
worker in IT domain why don"t try to search i think you will find something
that might helps you :vsign:

Mara 02-17-2007 11:54 AM

People are attracted by difficult things

Going or living in Japan is not such an easy thing so my poit is
when you have something that you can not get it you are tempted to wnna get it more and more ....
so if it would"nt be so difficult to go in Japan maybe not so many people will wish so much to go there ....
Is"nt that the reason that the restriction is so big? too many people want to go ,where or are there ??????
i might be wrong with that dont now it might be a solution also :vsign:

I think we all in this thread have the dream to go to japan because it´s a fanastic country, my father have a teammate who was in japan for a few years and my cousin was there too. They told me back then i was 9, beautiful thinks so i only dream about it to see it myself but it must be prepared for some time... In TV is a show there families go to a foreign country but they don´t speak the language and are bad prepared for example the kids don´t have a school they don´t a a house and live in a car and even don´t know the name of the village/town there they want live... ok thats some dumbs who doing this and i think nobody here will do it like them but be sure you must have enough money because you may don´t get from the start a job and you need a good language knowledge and culture to make nothing wrong! If you are good enough prepared you can go and get somebody in Japan... may we met there if i know how you look i will visit my cousin there in a few years :) :D So have fun in Japan hope i will have it too ;)

Umm yeah. I've been financially independent for several years now. I've traveled around but Japan is slightly different coz of the cost of living so preparation is important. I sure don't want to starve while I'm there. It'll spoil the fun. Now we don't want that, do we...:vsign:
