Arrow A question about teaching English in Japan. - 04-20-2009, 11:53 PM

So, I was wondering (and if this has already been asked, please forgive me) would one need to know full Japanese to teach English in Japan?

Nope Although I've heard if you have some Japanese skill it's easier to find a job with a private company, and it would certainly make life easier.

Being as there are lazy teachers living in bubbles of English who can`t speak more than a few words after being in Japan for 10+ years...
I`d say it`s probably not a requirement.

If anyone is trying to find me… Tamyuun on Instagram is probably the easiest.

Not a requirement at all, just a very, very good idea.
