amateur football in japan

I am moving to Japan from England this week

I am not sure where I will be placed for my job as an ALT but I am very keen to play football for a local amateur team.

Does Japan have anything comparable to Sunday league football in England?

Is it widespread enough for me to be able to find a team in most parts of the country as it is here?

I am not a great player I just love to play football

as far as i know from my friend working in Tokyo, he plays an amateur league, but i don´t have any details, i´ll try to reach him
