How to learn Japanese in Japan - 11-13-2009, 11:39 AM

Konichiwa! I'm a french student, graduate in law studies and linguistic studies. As I'm fond of Japan civilizations (not only mangas and sushis ), i'm just looking to learn Japan next year at French University. But, i'd have like to know if study nihongo in Japan is feasible for a foreigner. What I've to expect? I've heard finding a room in Japan is really difficult, and very expensive. What about students? Could I find a job easily to survive till i'm studying? Is there some scholarship? What about the cities? Is it better to go in Tôkyô, Kyoto, Nagoya, Osaka, Kumamoto, or anywhere else? I'm not looking for a luxurious way of life, or famous university, and, as i'm still student, the cheapest the best
I've still time to think about it, since i've to learn first nihongo for 2 years, but if anybody could advice me, itll be great!

P.S. Please, don't laugh at me because of my pityfull english

.
