Please, let's not go in this direction. This is already turning into a Japan and China bashing session that is borderline offensive.

This question caps it.

For me, China is great. the only things that i believe are bad about china is the organisation of things (cues for banks, trains etc etc), and (poverty) the fact that there are soooooo many poor people, especially poor children that grab your legs for about 30 mins asking for money.

When it comes to anything else. i think china is actually rather nice. like someone said china's air is not so nice.. you just need to get out of the city. like guilin or places like that are AMAZING

As for japan. i can't really comment as i haven't been there YET...

Having been to both countries I'll be honest and say that I prefer Japan.

Bad things about China (excluding Hong Kong)

-No manners (e,g, queing and road rules seem to be almost non existent)
-Dirty

Bad things about Japan

-Price of living.

I have considered living in Hong Kong or Taiwan if for some reason I can't live in Japan. China does have gender equality although it might not be true gender equality,I don't know. If I lived away from the city it would be alright.
