I wonder if any members here were caught up in that crash?

It sounds like a good idea. The EDO period was special so why not do something about it?

They were both maintenance trains... Meaning that there were no passengers - therefore no one caught in the accident.

As the worst, someone might have been caught in the delay caused by the cleanup.

I have heard the shinkansen has had a spotless record (for passenger train wrecks) since it opened in 1964.
