Finding アルバイト　for foreign students
 

Hello

I've heard that many arubaitos do not care whether you're a foreigner or not. They would just hire you if you can do the job.

Right now I'm looking for work (I know Chinese and English)

I applied for a job which requires both languages.

I got a call yesterday and I was confused at first...

the lady was speaking kind of fast and I couldn't understand.

So now I'm applying for other positions.

Is it easy to find baito for foreign students?

Anyone have some advice?

You applied for a job that requires both English and Chinese, in Japan?

In the area I work having both those languages would give you a distinct advantage in getting a job as we get a lot of tourists from SE Asia.

Can you recommend me some jobs that are like that?

Because the lady called back and said that they're not hiring students at this point.

I work in Hirafu which is one of the base villages of the Niseko ski resort. There are many foreign owned companies here involved in property development, sales and manangement. There are also numerous tour companies. An increasing portion of our business is from the SE Asian market so having Chinese language skills is considered a real plus especially in jobs like resort hosts where you have daily contact with the clients. Most of the job opportunities are seasonal from late Nov up to late April. Most of the companies are currently hiring staff for this coming season so do a search on Niseko and apply to as many of companies as you can if you're interested in working at a ski resort that is. You will need a working holiday visa though.
