Part time job help? - 12-29-2010, 08:19 AM

Well in the middle of next year im going to go to language school in tokyo for a year, and am going to try to get a part time job as soon as possible to help pay for bills. So my question is how many months of studying before my language skills would be sufficient enough to get a sort of minimum wage job (cafe, grocery store etc)

much appreciated

You can do a few hours legally on a student visa, but OP will have to check with his school. Even if it's legal, sometimes it's against the school's policy.
