Getting pierced in Kyoto?

Hey all,

I'm looking to get my other ear pierced in Japan and will be staying at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto for a year. Does anyone know of any piercing studios or piercing services in the area? Also what precautions do they take for safety in Japan? For example, against blood diseases.

Cheers for any information!

I thought in Japan most people buy disposable piercing guns. That was a few years ago, so I don't know about now.

Yeap people usually buy cheap disposable piercing guns - plastic, usually 400~1000yen at drug stores..

Get some sanitary stuff on your own or ask any of your Japanese acquaintances for help. :)

(I'm going to Ritsumei from this fall too! yeay!)
