Domestic helper - 07-06-2007, 09:13 AM

There's a very good chance my family will have to move from Hong Kong to Tokyo and we would love to take our domestic helper (a Filipina) with us. Can anyone help with details on how that can be done (if at all?), what the normal pay and conditions are in Japan for helpers etc.?

Any help at all is greatly appreciated. Also wide open for other tips, especially for a family with young kids....will things like our electronics and TV from Hong Kong work OK in Tokyo? All the usual questions/tips for newcomers...

Thanks

well i'm not from japan, but i think you should be able to take your domestic helper with you as part of your family, and i dont see why you shouldnt pay them what you pay them. becuase at the end of the day they are your domestic helper so it should be up to you guys.
