There are churches in most all of the larger cities in Japan. Schools as well.. I went to a Jesuit university when I studied abroad in Japan.

Christianity in Japan (source google, "christianity in japan" FIRST LINK)

PRESENT:

Today, about one to two million Japanese are Christians (about 1% of Japan's population). Most of them live in Western Japan where the missionaries' activities were greatest during the 16th century.

A few Christian customs have become quite popular also among the non-Christian population. Such customs are the wearing of white dresses at weddings or the celebration of St.Valentine's Day and, to a certain grade, also Christmas.

yes of course. this is no longer the middle age you know.

there are even christian schools, protestants, catholics, mormons, international churches can be found in almost all main cities. Lots of Jehovahs Witness knocking at your door too.

There are around 9,000 Orthodox as well, mostly the Russian immigrants I think...
There's an Orthodox Cathedral in Tokyo, the Holy Resurrection Cathedral...

Holy Resurrection Cathedral (commonly known as Nicholai-do) in Tokyo
