italian chef job in japan - 08-02-2007, 10:45 PM

hi ,
I'm an italian chef and I would love to work in Japan,do you have any suggestions? Should I get there with a tourist visa and then look for a job?
I dont speak Japanese, but I'm willing to learn...but everything looks a bit difficult.
thanks for your help.
bye

You're not allowed to seek employment in Japan while visiting on a tourist visa. Some people do it anyway, but it could get you into trouble and it could jeopardize any longer-term career you might hope to have there.

There is a desperate need for good Italian food in this country. It is dreadful.
