Information on living in japan - 08-21-2007, 11:11 AM

First of all Hi, this is my first post here.

I live in the United States currently, I am 16. And as a career in the future I want to be a game designer. I have been interested in japanese culture for many years now and have often considered living there. One reason being my love of japanese culture, another being my job (my dream would be to work for Nintendo).I know that I should visit japan at least once to really decide if life there is for me, but I really think it is.

So I was wondering if anyone could provide me any general information on life in japan as well as any suggestions to prepare myself for a future trip to japan. I know I need to learn the language.I don't know very much at all right now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to learn it?

Plan on taking it in college... so make sure you go to a college that has it. Learning on your own is VERY difficult unless you are VERY dedicated.
