I've heard of British Hills when I was scanning through the NOVA site, so it's likely.

I have been noticing in a lot of posts that I have been reading that it is almost impossible to live comfortably in Japan without a great amount of cash. I know Japan is one of the top most expensive places on the planet, but you don't really realize that until you hear all the pointers from the people that already live there. I am glad I have you guys to ask. I haven't read all of the posts, there are a lot of them and they are fairly large, but from what I gather, it is very hard to get citizenship to live in Japan, and it is even harder to find a job or get a degree. I make very little money in the US. and from what I am reading it'll be years before I have enough money to travel there. All I can do is keep on working, and maybe one day I'll be able to go.

A city full of foreigners where English is widespread, I think the most common name for such a place is Tokyo.

Isn't Japan as expensive as UK?

The UK is more expensive than Japan, but I think Kanji is from the US.

Do the US military bases count? Other than that, I have heard that Roppongi hills is fairly full of foreigners. Then there are places like Chinatown in Yokohama. You are honestly more likely to find a couple of blocks full of Chinese or Koreans than English speaking expats because they are the two groups who make up the largest portion of foreign residents throughout Japan.

I was just asking out of personal curiosity, and it seems I would be one of the only people to benefit financially by going to Japan from that information.
