Writing in Japan - 11-19-2007, 02:13 AM

Ok, to make a long story short, I'm a writer. Not professional by a award or degree for that matter, but writing is my passion and my hobby and likely my future.

What writing jobs/careers could help me in Japan or even transfer me to Japan?

Your best bet is going to be to get hired by an American publication to doa travelogue of Japan. It's a sweet gig, but hard to land.

You're going to need at least a degree of some sort, and I would assume to do a travelogue a knowledge, or at least will to learn, about the customs and history so you can explain what you experience.

It would help to explain what type of writing you wanted to do, your educational background, and work experience. Then we could give you some more detailed advice.

You could do what many people have done before... but maybe you can do it better. who knows?

That is to just travel Japan, and write about your experiences... you don't need any qualifications for that. You just need money to travel, and hopefully someone to read your work!!!
