Japanese tradition - 11-19-2007, 03:34 AM

I was watching a show, and there was a cetain tradition I did not understand. It was after a graduation ceremony for a middle school, and the girls were after the "second button" from the jackets of the boys they liked. If you know what I mean, could you tell me the origin and meaning of this?

Arigato Gozaimasu ^_^

It's like "pinning" in America. It means they are "going steady".

Second button is closest to the heart, so the most importiant.

Thank you kishidan!
