Hiring Native Japanese Speakers in Beijing - 10-20-2010, 03:18 AM

Hi everyone, I speak and write english but not Japanese, hence I apologise if I posted this in an inapproriate forum.

We are urgently, hiring 2 native japanese speakers in Beijing, China with the following requirements:

Company Background:
Band is a creative-based independent marketing and advertising agency with particular expertise in the technology industry and channel marketing. The company is headquartered in Singapore, with additional offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Paris. Band delivers results for its blue-chip multi-national corporation client base by applying imagination to the through-the-line marketing tools required to generate awareness, activation and action.

Position: Marketing Support Executives

Number of positions available: Full-time
Location: The call centre will be based out of Band’s newly established Beijing office.
Hours per week: 40
Job Type: 1-year contract with extension possibility

Job Description:
Newly created roles, the Marketing Support Executives will be part of a team in Beijing, working with an extended team in Singapore and in Europe, to provide telephone-based marketing support to our client’s business partners in local language. The executives will report into a Partner Support Centre for Marketing Manager also based in Beijing. The objective of the Marketing Support team of executives is to support our client’s business partners who have limited marketing resources. The Marketing Support Executives will support the development and implementation of marketing campaigns for our client’s partners throughout Asia Pacific. The Beijing-based roles require the Marketing Support Executives to support partners in Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. We are therefore looking for each candidate to speak at least one of the relevant languages of these countries fluently with a local accent, plus English. The support for Hong Kong will require Cantonese fluency.

The Marketing Support Executives will be expected to support and communicate with partners predominantly on the telephone, as well as some email communication. It is therefore imperative that the chosen candidates are confident in speaking to business partners over the phone (to explain the program, for example) in local language as well as having the ability to communicate as proficiently in the written form of their languages.

Key Tasks
• Using a predetermined list of our client’s business partners, you will contact and build relationships with key marketing contacts.
• You will spend time on the telephone with these contacts explaining and promoting the benefits of utilising the relevant campaigns for their business.
• Support in the implementation of campaigns.
• Follow up once a campaign has been implemented.
• As new campaigns and initiatives are launched, you will again brief targeted business partners on the campaigns and their associated assets.
• You will act as a remote ‘virtual support’ person, available to answer any queries or questions and acquire feedback.

Key Skills
• Proficiency in at least one of the specified languages (plus English).
• Excellent written and verbal communication in local language.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong numeracy skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel).
• A degree level education in marketing is preferred.
• Ability to deal at senior level within the organisation.

Essential
• A fearless approach to calling and an interest in a doing a phone based role.
• A genuine enthusiasm or passion for technology.
• An ambition to develop a marketing career and understand channel marketing.
• Telemarketing, call centre and/or telephone-based customer support experience.
• Willingness to participate in a week-long training focused on channel marketing and telephone skills.
• Open mind to working with different cultures and adopting global best practices
