Hi, fellow WWOOFers, or japanese friends? - 07-10-2007, 01:25 AM

Hi, I'm new here. In september I'm going to Japan to travel around and WWOOF (Willing workers on organic farms) for 9 months. I'm really excited, but it's a long way from home (I live in Amsterdam), and I don't know anyone in Japan, so I'm afraid I'll get lonely there or something. Also, I don't think I know enough about the culture, and I don't speak any japanese. So if anyone wants to help me, talk to me, or wants to meet up for a drink or whatever in Japan, that would be great
Cheers,
Rebecca

I'm going in november, I can probably only get a visa for 6 months, it is being taken care of now. So if I go beginning of november, I'll be there until right after the Golden Week in may, and I'll be back home for my birthday
My plan is to get an open jaw ticket, to fly into Fukuoka, and travel my way up to Kyoto, where I'll be staying for 2 weeks, then travelling on to Tokyo, where I'll be staying 2 weeks before flying home from Tokyo. In between these cities, I'll be WWOOFing, and hopefully I get to see as many sights as my budget allows me.
