Hello!

my name is Yara, i'm asian but i live in australia - i'm not liking it much lately.
i'm only 17, and in about 4 years time (after university) i plan on going over to Japan, and hopefully by then i'll have the language in hand, so i can get a job over there, i'm sick of living in a western country. want to go back to my roots, YEAH!! (no, i'm not Japanese, i wish. I'm indonesian)

dream job would be working for Nippon Crown, Haunted Records (or any other recrding company) and Square Enix. (final fantasy nerd, right here *points at self*)

currently in my last year of high school and unemployed, but will (soon) hopefully get a job at a game shop soon (yay for staff discounts), so i can save up to go to Japan.

I love J-Rock, J-Pop, i prefer live performances rather than watching it on-screen, i love theatre (drama) and i love crazy movies that normal people would probably turn away from - like things in other languages - Pan's Labyrinth, or things about drugs or crazy people. I love Jane Austen and J.K. Rowling - my favourite writers.

people say i am a little on the left side of centre - that is i am a little odd sometimes, but apparently i am entertaining i have crazy parents but i've learnt to deal with them, i hate school (but it's almost over) and in the last couple of days i've spent hours and hours on this forum.

i'm currently reading a book about Tokyo (it's pretty entertaining) apparently trains are always very very crowded over there, huh?

I'm Josh and I really enjoy the Japanese culture and studying as many aspects of life as I can. The music, language, food, art, history, sports, and the culture itself fascinates me and I can tell it fascinates a lot of you too!

I went to Japan a few months back and loved every second of it. Went to Nagoya, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka and anyone who dreams of going to Japan, never give up and always strive! Trust me, it is worth the patience ^___^


I speak Japanese somewhat for 3 years now and I would not mind meeting people that speak Japanese as well. I don't mind if you only speak english, just watching anime gives you a few words here and there, right? ^^

Favorite Anime is GTO (Great Teacher Onizuka)! Manga is between GTO and Aizu (or I"s).

bad ass goals right now learning japanese and kenjutsu well trying theres no dojo's here T-T and im trying to relearn latin oh yea im a white boy as seen in my profile pic i too love the theater as my final test in high school theater i had to direct our final performance also im trying to make movies. hopefully ill get to japan and shoot one of my dream movies the battle of sekigahara. just sent you a friend request lol so ttyl
