Looking for lost japanese friend - 06-08-2016, 10:10 AM

Hi there,
I'm looking for help, since I don't know where to start.

I'm looking for my friend which I met 9 years ago at Ferry Crossing In Sumatra, Indonesia. We had a nice conversation, and later on I knew that he was travelling across country (backpacking). He used to work in entertainment business, and after a while, he leave his job for an adventure. with only carrying a bag and shoes, no cameras or phone
He told me that he was planning to go to thailand, china and back to japan.

few months later i received a postcard from him, and it was sent from china.

and two years (2009) later i received an email from him. he told me that he is currently working as a teacher in Public School at Tokyo, Nerima-ku
Tried a few times to email him, but no response, but it seems the email address is still active

So, if there anyone who might know him, it would be a great help.

Oh, and by the way, his name is Ko Honobe

"Honobe" is rare family name in Japan. I can not imagine the name in Japanese (Kanji).

However, when I checked "honobe" in facebook, I found some people who has "honobe" as family name. Though I did not find "Ko Honobe", you could access them and ask them if they know "Ko Honobe" or not.

Been tried to ask them (by facebook message) but no response yet.... it's kind a weird asking some stranger whether he/she know someone... looking forward for their response though...
