I need opinions... - 01-17-2008, 07:59 AM

Here are some of my pictures... some are un-finished... ^^; Anyways, i want some opinions on things i can improve on. Please be honest!!

thanks. ^^ i've worked very hard to be able to draw how i do now. i've been drawing almost every day since i was 9.

I dunno the face could be more balanced with the body. Not trying to critique you too much cos you definitely have talent.

Those are some nice images Kloud san. You've got tremendous potential. You really could work on the hair and give it more texture. You're basic shape outlines are pretty good. Some of the pictures (like Haku) have the face too wide, but those are very easily corrected errors.

Another pointer would be use consistent strokes when colouring your character. In the pic of the lady with the green and red dress you can see that the red part has uneven strokes some diagonally forward, other diagonally backward.

And one final easy trick to help make the pics better would be to put more action into your characters. The blinking in Haku was a great addition. For the lady in Green and red instead of just having her arms about, it might have added more gravity if she had say, the sword above her head.

Overall, you've really got some talent and a few touches here and there should get you going pretty good! Keep up the good work Kloud-san!
