Try to learn piano but its very very hard!

Darkhatecrew 01-23-2008 05:20 PM

I have been playing guitar for....well some years...not sure how many though because I'm bad at counting >.<

Eveilaje 01-23-2008 06:03 PM

I play several instruments but I favor Bass among others which makes me "mad!!!" of it by allowing me to hold the control of music with the power of effecting and strengthening both the rhythm and melody.

kairai 01-23-2008 06:07 PM

I played Rin' and Vanilla Mood songs ~

and sometimes listened to "Pacific Moon" albums ~

Navi 01-28-2008 02:37 PM

I play quite a few instruments however I only play the bass guitar on a regular basis, along with the electric guitar as well. I own Fender P-Bass 62-78 (Crafted in Japan) re-issue which is in Vintage White with US Pickups and I use my father's Squire Bullet when I decide to play electric guitar.

I can also play keyboard/piano but I wasn't that good at reading sheet music in my youth so I gave up.

I'm still learning but I do think I'm quite good.

Sachiko 01-28-2008 02:47 PM

Guitar isn't very hard but I do not recommend playing for a long period of time, take breaks because your fingers can and will fall off (not literally). Ok, I exaggerated a little bit but they will start to hurt.

Slykaz1 01-28-2008 03:06 PM

I can only play happy birthday on a piano ^_^

And my uncle taught me basics on a guitar, but I'm very lousy.....^_^

Kiyuge 01-28-2008 03:51 PM

I can play GreenSleeves on the piano....

BancheexBeauty 01-28-2008 04:06 PM

Horray for people who can play the piano! I would love to play guitar, but I only tinker with my friend who is right handed (I'm a left hander) and I'm no Jimmy Hendrix!

How long have you been playing piano, and violin?
My sister has been playing violin for about 8 months. She preformed at a music show case in Dec, I think she did very well.
I've been playing piano for 4 months, but its still hard for me because I never learned to read music.

If anyone's interested in playing guitar, start out with understanding how to read tabs, and learn a few chords. Its so much easier to understand than learning to read music.
Example:
Smoke on the water...(everyone knows this riff, LOL)

e|-----------------|---------------|----------------|----------
b|-----------------|---------------|----------------|----------
g|--0---3---5----0-|---3---6-5-----|-0---3---5----3-|---0----
d|--0---3---5----0-|---3---6-5-----|-0---3---5----3-|---0----
a|-----------------|---------------|----------------|----------
e|-----------------|---------------|----------------|----------

^the letters represent a guitar string

the numbers represent the frets (0 means open note)
practice the riff (in even rhythm, start slowly, then play faster), then try playing along with the track

sandanjuu 03-09-2008 04:06 PM

i play the violin... for abut 7 years till now
m'not counting the time before i went to a musical school... dunno how it's like in other countries, but here in Croatia you have something like an elementary music school (for kids aged 9-14), a music high school (14-18), and then the music academy. i went through the elementary school and now am in a high school :D
i play the piano too, since it's obligatory in high

Cyasarin 03-09-2008 05:12 PM

I play the violin. ^^ It broke My heart when I found out I couldn't take Strings this year. I've wanted to play the violin since I was tiny [like almost a baby] and I finally got to live my dream. I even went to the Trans Siberian Orchestra concert right before Christmas Eve. [AMAZING!] The guy had a glow-in-the-dark electric violin. I really want an electric violin! D=>
Since I was in Strings class, I can also play a bit of the viola and cello, but not much. I really want to learn more of the cello. It's such a "dangerous" instrument.
I also play the piano and I'm trying to learn the guitar.
My friend suggested that I learn the bass guitar because it'd look cool since I'm the same size as a bass guitar. XD

EveV 03-09-2008 05:19 PM

You name it.
I play it or have attempted to.
My favorite is , guitar.
Which I've been at since I was probably like 5

I also taught myself to play piano, but I can't really play it...

NanteNa 04-05-2008 06:15 PM

I tried teaching myself how to play the guitar. -_-'' It totally crashed when I broke the g-string (hahaha! -_-'') so I quit. All odds have been against me when trying to pick up on it again. <_> *eyetwitch* I stick to singing. ^^v

Hm. I think I can play a little guitar, but that's it.

MissMisa 04-05-2008 06:48 PM

Used to play piano, but gave up years ago because my GCSE work got in the way -_-=

My brother plays piano and guitar though, and he's pretty good. When he was born he was told that he couldn't ever play anything like that because he's got a deformed hand, but hes actually damn good, way better than me too :P
