Kaiju looked around her workshop. Her new design was almost complete and nearly ready to test. She made one small adjustment with her finely-tuned laser beam, which she carried with her at all times. There. It was ready.
A small, robotic creature that looked like a spider and a beetle combined sat on her desk. "Akira, attention." The creature looked up at her. The back of it read: Akira; model 1. "Akira, here." The creature moved toward Kaiju. What a brilliant idea, a robot that responded to vocal commands. "Akira, good work." 'Akira' looked at her and settled itself next to her hand. The time had come to test this invention.
