FIRE AND ICE

Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

The poem I'm going to post on here got published in a book, so I'm pretty proud of it. It might seem a little lame to some of you, but I wrote it like..4 years ago, so bear with me:

The boy knows not of what he feels
He doesn't know that this is real
He thinks it all to be a game
He tried to play with the other toys
But soon came to realize nothing
He did could change how he felt
Nothing at all

Because he had liked her game the best
He had fallen for a soulless witch
Someone with a heart as dark as his own
Someone with a touch colder than snow
The second her lips had met his own
He had been engulfed with real dark bliss
He had experienced true love's deadly kiss

He gave into her and when he did
She bled him dry

@ redsteel : nice poem! :] I think it's kind of funny in the short way it's written. No extra drama, which makes it only more tragic.

This is one of the things I like to write, which I tend to do a lot.

Flawless

It’s in the moments like this,
When I don’t want to any more.
I should so much,
Could so much,
Promise so much…

But I want peace.
Silence.
Time stands still and nobody cares.
My promises break,

Everyone goes on.

I want you to be with me.
To breath with you flawless,
And nothing more.

And the silence…

Loneliness swallows us.
When the people continue,
Without us.
They forget us,

Pain in love
Is something all souls with love in their hearts
Must endure.
Days become longer
When love is apart,
The hours tear at their heart strings;
Shredding them into pieces
But love must endure.
Stormy nights spent alone
Has all eyes brimming over with tears,
And the fear that you may not be among the living

Even if death claims the other half.

Something Special!!!

If you loved someone would you tell them?
if they loved you would you take care of them?
if they wanted to stay with you would they run away from home?
I would but only to see you!
I would tell you how much i loved you!
I would email you everyday just to make sure your okay!
But how can we trust this thing called love?
Do we just let life go on the way you dont want it to go?
I would never let a love like you get away not in my life time.
I would sleep in the cold just to be with you.
I would make sure you were happy.
If i was making you sad would you tell?
I think you would because you have a kind heart!
You are the most special thing ive found in life!
Thats why i will talk to you everyday and make sure you are okay!
But am i special enough for you to do the same for me???
