Dollhouse Miniatures
Hi everyone! I write, knit, do many various crafts, but my big thing at the moment, creativity wise, is dollhouse miniatures. This is 1:12 scale models of objects and scenes. Well there are other scales too, smaller ones, but this one is good for me, it means that a 6 foot man is, in miniature, 6 inches tall. I love it as a hobby, because it involves every form of creativity I can think of.
Is anyone else into it? Some of the photos I happen to have on photobucket right now. More photos of my miniatures are on my blog linked in my signature, but those aren't on photobucket, I uploaded them directly to blogger. And you should rememember that these are pretty tiny. :) |
Okay, that stuff is really cool, especially the fruit loops. What do you make that out of? Looks like a lot of skill going into those tiny details...

I wish I'd taken photos next to something that would show the scale. Most of those there are out of polymer clay, which is sort of like plasticine but you bake it and it goes hard. I made each of those fruit loops by hand. The bowl was some plastic from packaging, and the milk was made with glue and paint mixed together. :)

I really like that stuff! I'm a fan of things done at the miniature level, like seeing peoples' Warhammer collections. I hope more people are into this and post some pics too

Those are cool!
my keychains would like some fruit loops XD Did you make them? |
Yes, I did make them. :)
|
OH those are amazing!
In that website in your siggy, I love the snail house! |
It is constantly amazing me that the snail house is people's favourite! I thought people would find it creepy, though I myself found it cool.
|
Wow that snail house is really awesome. I also liked that secret garden of the fairies.
So how long have you been doing this? |
I officially started miniatures when I was 10 and won an 'adult' dollhouse, but I've had a dollhouse since the age of 2, and have always been interested in it.
