That is a temporary piercing done primarily for shows. It only stays in place for sort while (couple of hours at the most). The level of pain varies with the person. Most who would sgree to have it done have endorphins that go into hyperdrive short after the process begins, so they do not experience exactly what you would define as pain once that happens. Some say that the removal can actually be more painful than the last half of putting the pins in.

Movement is limited, not so much by the lacing, but moreso by knowing the risk of the flesh tearing.
